My PALV

Job shadowing at Montemor-o-Novo (Portugal) is over.

Is our evaluation, it found it very useful and nice.

It was an intensive programme during the week but we did it.

We reorganized some parts in order to make our work more efficient.

We think we have a worth week and we are closer than before.

Now, we must settle down a day and time to join online with the other partners and share our experience and to think about the future because the school year is ending.

Next mobility: 

Today, was the last working day.

Because we are flexible, we did some changes in our plan.

That's why we returned to the main school in the morning.

At the teachers's room, we could talk to the head of language departement and there is hope to begin an exchange between older pupils, in english.

It was time, also, to visit the room for pupils with special needs, because our group of schools (and country) have brrn doing a lot on integration.

And, of course, we couldn't finish the week without the music teachers, the one who composed our anthem.

Great moment!

And it was also very nice to be in his classroom.

These moments were very important; that's why we weren't worried about going late to Évora, the world heritage city near us.

A fantastic cathederal, lovely objects made with cork, a pleseant lunch, cute souvenirs and a warm sun always at the right time.

We will visit the cromlech next time!

Again at Montemor-o-Novo, it was time for little stuff and to visit a music school that colaborates with our group of schools on the extra activities.

We could see an exhibition about instruments and even listened Chopin by a piano teacher!

A collaborative dinner at the coordinator's job shadowing home was the best way to finished this working week.

Today was a very exciting, different and personnal day!

We were at the class that started the project 2 years ago and pupils were very eager to knew the polish teachers.

Songs, dances and presentations about their work and Poland... these were the things on what we worked.

A very light and tasty lunch with rain outside.

We went to Lisbon on our way to the Instituto of Education, at University of Lisbon.

The class, about evaluation, in english, was very interesting.

And great great dinner at night with special friends.

Another is complete and we did more then we planned, like yesterday!

In the morning,

we visited a workshop where children can do art work.

It was very very nice!

Before lunch, we visited the swimming pool.

Great place!

We have luch at São Mateus school, near the city.

And then, we did some activities with pupils from kindergarten and primary.

Everyone sang and danced and chiildren also understood a few words in english!

Time for a meeting with all the primary teachers.

We just said hello and a few words and gave some sweets from Poland :)

The group of kindergarten teachers also was visited!

The rain joined us for dinner.

We went to a city near by to eat «bifanas».

Another hard working day!

Everything run very well.

During the morning, we visit 2 classrooms: 1st and 2nd grades - school n.º 3.

We had the opportunity to see children learning maths and portuguese.

They were curious and asked some questions about Poland, mainly.

On our way to the city hall, walking through the streets.

It was a sunny day, again!

The person who represents culture received us in an old room. Quite awesome!

We were, also, at the public library where we discovered local and famous writers like Curvo Semedo and Almeida Faria.

In the library, the special place to the children is very interesting. We loved the story room.

Everything was great and we were starved!

After a very tasty coffee, it was time to socialize with the teachers that were interested on knowing something about our project or schools or... just regular things from our daily life in a different country.

And we also were in a meeting for heads of departments.

We show then a little bit of our schools and challenged them to put then students in communication with ours, in english :)

Before dinner, it was time to drive around castle and enjoy the view.

The dinner was fantastic!

We need some rest...

Today was the 1st day at school.

We did all the activities we have planned.

In the morning,

we had a meeting to check the week plan.

The head of kindergarten department jointed us to know the polish teachers and to get involved in the activities.

After break time, we kept in touch with 5 primary classes. Every pupils and teachers seemed to be happy with our visit and, in a class, we  appreciated some group outcomes about Poland and typical things.

To finish our morning, we met our headteacher and it was very nice.

We have lunch at AVMN, in the canteen.

Everything was great.

The sun kept shining when we left the main building to meet children and teachers from kindergarten.

Classes were planning their work when we arrived.

After a guided visit to the building, we checked how engaged children were in their activities.

Well done!

Thank you all for the colaboration!

We still had time to visit the castle and to enjoy the view from there to all the city.

From the other hill, the view is also great.

...and dinner to finish our day.

Time to rest...

Our 2 partners and friends, Mag and Ewa just arrived our town.

They are tired, of course.

It was a long travelling day.
